Cambridge, MA son of Rev. Samuel Webber, D. D. Pres. of Harvard Univ.  Dr. Samuel Webber, Jr. b. Sep l5, l797 He grad. Harvard, l8l5. He studied, as well, with Dr. William Page Jr. of Hallowell, ME and with Dr. Thomas Foster of Cambridge MA.  He wrote poetry and his poem, "An Indian Tale" was pub. in Samuel Kett- ell's American Poetry, Vol. III p.l55 He also pub. the poem "War" in l824 but nothing thereafter to this author's knowledge  Rather, he settled at Charlestown NH and was absorbed in his profession.  It was known to his friends, that he had many poems, in manuscript. He was elected to membership of The Royal Society of Northern Antiquarians of Copenhagen, Denmark. This honor was unsolicited by him and was in recognition of the extent of his knowledge.  He was principal physician of Charlestown NH for over 50 yrs., and had done much for education in the community. p.595 Dr. Samuel Webber m. Mayl5, l853     Ellen Evans Oliver, dau of Nathaniel K. G. Oliver of     Boston. He was a Mechanical and Civil Engineer in     Manchester, NH Their children: l. Samuel Storrow Webber b. Mar 3l,l854. 2. William Oliver Webber b. Jan 4, l856. 3. Anna Louise Webber b. Feb. l, l859. 4. Francis Green Webber b. Aug l6, l86l d.    Apr 8, l862. 5. Robert Prince Webber b. Sep. l3, l864. Note: Samuel and William were practical machinists. 2. Mary Green Webber b. Apr l9, l825 d. l839 3. Anna Caroline Webber b. Feb. ll, l827 4. Frances West Webber b. Nov 29, l828 5.
