DANIEL1 ADAMS' name appears in L., 1799; may be identical with the man of that name living in the family of Alpheus Nevers in C., in 1840; aged 89 years, and drawing a U. S. pension for services as a soldier in Revolution. He doubtless was the man mentioned in C. History, "who m. Deborah Cooley, was for many years a citizen of Charlestown.....His descendants are very numerous and respectable." On July 31, 1797, Daniel and Deborah of L., sold part of lot 7, r. 8 in L., to John Hayward, of Ac., and Mar. 1, 1799, he sold the west end of said lot (43 acres) to John Hubbard of C., it "being the whole of the fard on which I now live"; it was the full width of said lot, and bounded east on land now owned by John Hayward.--R. of D. We believe this was at No. 222 where Abner Gage was living, 1802.
