MISS MARIE1 JEANNERET, a native of France; an old school teacher; b. circa 1860 purchased the Burge-Lufkin farm, No. 171, in 1919. Her conservative attitude relative to personal history reflects in this incomplete record. However the following few facts have been learned from various sources. Miss Jeanneret has taught French in American schools and for about eleven years prior to the World war, in company with Miss Lora L. Coleman, she conducted a private school in (Paris?), France. Both live together; spend their summers in Langdon, and their winters in Fairhope, Baldwin Co., Alabama.
