1. EBENEZER1 PLACE, appears to have lived on lot 15, r. 2, in Ac. and supposed to have d. prior
to 1836. He m. June 18, 1829, Mary (Polly) Dickey of Ac., a dau. of Capt. James Dickey. She was
a nurse, came to L. and purchased the Joseph Smith farm, No. 270, 5 acres land and buildings
1836/37. She let the place to Joel Smith, and later to David or Leonard Whitney. She rem. West,
taking her church letter from L. to Dubuque, Iowa, Sept. 22, 1867, and d. at Waterloo that state
