8. HOWARD1 REED (ancestry not established, although there is a possibility he may be identical
with the following,--Howard5, b. Chelmsford, Mass., Feb. 26, 1762, s. of Thomas4 (John3,
Thomas2, Obadiah1) and Olive (---) Reade, as noted in the Read-Reed Genealogy.) He came to L. 
1795/6 from C.; remained until 1820?, in which year he owned lot 9, r. 6--the Carlos J. Fifield
farm No. 205 and which was occupied that year (1820) by his s. Thomas Reed. Howard was also taxed
1820 for lot 8, r. 5, in L. an 100 acres he bought July 25, 1803. He m. (pub. Feb. 28, 1790),

10. Henry2 Reed (Howard1), a farmer in L. most of his life; in 1837/38, he lived in the Jonathan
Hall house No. 86, owned by Simon Sartwell, and used as a "pest-house" at time the Cady family 
had the small-pox. He was taxed 1849, for one acre of land. His widow and three small ch. were
aided by the town in 1850-51. He m. Sarah A. ---, b. July 16, 1818; d. May 28, 1884; int. L.W.C.
