CHARLES W. MATHEWS and SARAH LEEDS were married May the 11 A.D. 1842.

CHARLES W. MATHEWS was born November 17th A.D. 1818.

SARAH MATHEWS was born September 23rd A.D. 1821.

GEORGE W. MATHEWS, son of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born April 16th A.D. 
1843.

JAMES L. MATHEWS, son of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born June 3rd A.D. 1845.

JEMIMA B. MATHEWS, daughter of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born March 25th 
A.D. 1847.

MARY ANN D. MATHEWS, daughter of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born December 
14th A.D. 1850.

DANIEL L. MATHEWS, son of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born February 3rd A.D. 
1853.

DELPHENE MATHEWS, daughter of CHARLES and SARAH MATHEWS, was born August 31st 
A.D. 1855.

SARAH MATHEWS, wife of CHARLES W. MATHEWS, departed this life October 20, in the 
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two (1892). Aged 68 years 
and twenty-seven days.



The foregoing record was copied by Martha K. Collins, Hartford, Connecticut, 
1929, from Charles W. Mathews family Bible which is now in the possession of his 
daughter Mrs. Mark Somers (Delphene Mathews), Oceanville, New Jersey.
