SCULL " I JOHN R. SCULL of the Township of Great Egg Harbour, County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey, Husbandman, being weak in body but sound in mind and memory, Do Think fit this Eighth day the fourth month (April) in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred thirteen (1813) to make my will and order the division of my estate in the following manner viz: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife SARAH and my son ISRAEL SCULL my third part of the sloop Liberty to them, their heirs and assigns forever, with their paying off the bills that are yet unpaid for building and riging said sloop. Item: I give and bequeath to my two sons JOHN SCULL and ISRAEL SCULL, all my Lands up Lands and meadows: marsh, tenements, houses, out houses, together with all the appurtenances there unto belonging, or in any way appertaining to them, their heirs, or assigns, forever. Then as touching the residue of my estate after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid out of the same except the bills above mentioned respecting the sloop, Liberty. It is my will and I do order that my daughter ABIGAIL have as much of my estate as will make her equal to the rest of her sisters: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife above named one equal half part of my personal estate which was not before given away, which I gave to her in lieu of her dower, to her heirs and assigns forever, not withstanding it is my wish that she shall have a full rite to occupy and enjoy the right of dower as long as she remains my widow and no longer. Item: I give and bequeath the other half of my estate to my six daughters: ROXANNA SOMERS, RACHEL CHATTIN, MARY COOPER, PHEBE SOMERS, ELIZABETH RISLEY and ABIGAIL SCULL, to them and their heirs forever. Lastly I make ordain constitute and appoint my two sons JOHN and ISRAEL SCULL Executors to this my last will and testament, disannuling all former wills by me made, Ratifying and confirming this to be my last.
