Between Abigail Bowker and Artimara Bowker of the City of New York and State of New York of the one part and Elizabeth Bowker of Mount Holly in the state of New Jersey of the other part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars lawful money of the united States of America to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt and payment were they do hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained sold enfeffed aliened released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain seal enfeoff alien release convey and confirm unto the said Elizabeth Bowker and to her heirs and assigns all their right title and interest of an in and to the following described dwelling house and lot of land situate in the village of Columbus; in the County of Burlington and thus bounded viz. Beginning at a stone on the Westerly side of the street or road leading to Bordentown and corner to Benjamin Bartons land, and runs thence along said street North nineteen degrees East, one chain and five and a half links to a stone, thence North seventy three Degrees West three chains and fifty three links to a stake in James Gordons line and corner to - indley -ails land thence along said Gordons line thence South nine degrees west one chain and five and a half links to a stake in said line and corner to said Bartons line thence South seventy two degrees East two chains and thirty four links to the place of Beginning - Containing sixty six hundredths of an acre of land be the same more or less. Being the same lot of land - James Pearce and wife by deed dated September 13th 1840 Conveyed to James C. Bowker and Hannah his wife and which, the said James C. Bowker dying Intestate, descended to his children and heirs at law in fee. Together with all and singular the houses outhouses edifices and buildings thereon erected and being and all ways waters watercourses woods fences gardens minerals rights privileges advantages hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate, right title interest use trust property possession claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part in law or equity or otherwise however of in to or out of the same To have and To Hold the said lot of land, hereditaments and premises hereby granted and Released or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Bowker her heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Elizabeth Bowker her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Abigail Bowker and Artimasa Bowker for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Elizabeth Bowker her heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Abigail and Arimasa and their heirs the said house and lot of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted released or mentioned or intended to be with the appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Bowker her heirs and assigns against them the said Abigail and Artimasa and their heirs and against all and every other person or person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, under them, --- and will warrant and forever defend by these present In Witness whereof the said party of the first part to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Abigail Bowker Artimisia Bowker Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of W.H. Smith State of New Jersey City of New York ss: Be it Remembered that on this nineteenth day of February in the year our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty eight. Before be a commissioner duly commissioned and qualified to take acknowledgments and proof of Deeds for the state of New Jersey. personally appeared Abigail Bowker and Artemasa, whom I am satisfied the grantors named in the within deed and who I first making known to them the contents unto thereof acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the same as their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein explained.
