Bowker to John Pearce Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth S. Bowker widow of James C. Bowker late of the County of Burlington Deceased for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me paid by John Pearce of the City of Philadelphia in the State of Pennsylvania have and by these presents do devise release and forever quit claim unto the said John Pearce and to his heirs and assigns all manner of Dower and rights or action of dower which I now have or might have or claim of and in and to a certain tract of land situate in the village of Columbus in the township of Mansfield in the County aforesaid Containing thirty six square perches of land being the same conveyed by Joseph Bowker Butler A. Bowker and Elizabeth Bowker to John Pearce before mentioned said deed bearing ate the seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine, to have and to hold to the said John Pearce his heirs and assigns forever, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty nine Elizabeth S. Hutchinson The State of New Jersey, Burlington County ss: BE it remembered that on this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine, before me the subscriber one of the Masters of the Court of Chancery of State of New Jersey personally appeared Elizabeth Bowker known to me to be the grantor named in the within release of down and who I making known the contents thereof acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the same as her voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed all of which is certified by me.
