Read to John Plotts New Jersey Land Deed: V 3 pages 93-94 Dated 25 March 1839, Recorded 11 April 1839 FHL# 0842237 Dorothea Ridgway & Others to John Plotts This Indenture Made this twenty fifth day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Between Dorothea Ridgway of Mount Holly in the County of Burlington State of New Jersey Margaret R. Read and Eliza H. Read of Bridgeton in the County of Cumberland in the said State of the one part and John Plotts of Mount Holly aforesaid of the other part. Whereas by force and virtue of a certain indenture duly executed bearing date the 25 of November 1830 under the hands and Seals of Charles Read and Mary his Wife recorded in the Clerks office of the County of Burlington Book B 3 of deeds page 466 & the parties of the first part herein named became seized in their [demeson?] as of fee of and in a certain lot or piece of Land, caled in the Indenture the second Lot situate in Mount Holly aforesaid which is thus bounded Beginning at a post on the North side of New Street and runs thence along the line of the Academy lot North fifteen minutes East two chains and fifty links to a stake in Stacy Mills line formerly Clarks line thence 2nd, South thirty eight degrees fifty minutes East two Chains {page 94} and ninety nine links or there about to a stake in Clarks line aforesaid and on the East side of Buttonwood Street thence 3rd, South Seventy seven degrees West Sixty five links to the corner of Buttonwood and New Streets thence 4th West along New Street one chain and thirty one links to the place of Beginning be the contents of Land what they may more or less Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to them in hand paid at and before the perfection hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained sold aliened released conveyed and confirmed and for themselves and their heirs do absolutely grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto the said John Plotts his heirs and assigns forever all the herein before described Lot of Land Together with all and Singular the buildings fences, hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging and the reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof And also all the estate right title, interest use possession property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said parties of the first part of in and to the same To Have and To Hold the said lot of Land and premises unto the said John Plotts his heirs and assigns forever And the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs, executors and administrators do warrant with the said John Plotts in manner following. First that they have good right full power and authority to sell and convey the said lot of Land and premises secondly that the said premises are free and clear from all encumbrances and lastly that the said Lot of Land and premises hereby granted and conveyed or so intended to be unto the said John Plotts his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claim of any other persons or persons they the said parties of the first part shall and will warrant and forever defend. Read and Eliza H.
