New Jersey Will #13610C 1826 Recorded in Book C of Wills page 681 & 5 in the Surrogates Office of the County of Burlington. I William Chapman of the Township of Nottingham County of Burlington and State of New Jersey, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament; 1st My will and desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges be first paid as seen after my decease as possible by my executors herein after named. 2nd I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sarah Chapman all my household goods and kitchen furnature and all my poultry; also one thousand dollars to be paid to her in one year after my decease with lawful interest. 3rd My will further is that all the residues of my personal estate and also all my real estate whatsoever be sold and one half the neat proceeds thereof I give and bequesath to said dear wife during her natural life, all which I give in lieu of her dower out of my estate. 4th I give and bequeath to my three nephews viz Lewis G. Chapman, John Chapman, and James Chapman share and share alike all the residue or remaining proceeds of my estate and also my will is that after my wife's decease my three said nephews shall have the part of the estate left her during her natural life share and share alike. I appoint Isaac Ivins (of Pennsylvania) Lewis G. Chapman and John Chapman executors of this my testament and last will--In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this Ninth day of Eleventh Month in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
