(Bridgeton, N.J.) 1851-1884: July 09, 1859 July 9, 1859 In Deerfield, on the morning of the 4th of July, a young man by the name of Elijah Parvin, aged about sixteen years, while playing with a colt which he intended riding to Bridgeton, was struck on tho forehead by the fore foot of the colt, and seriously injured. He was not expected to live.
