Aug 4, 1930 AGED WOMAN DIES STRICKEN BY HEAT MRS.ELLEN T. DALTON, PASSED AWAY SATURDAY. FAMILY IS PROMINENT. Prostrated by the oppressive heat two weeks ago, Mrs. Ellen T. Dalton, widow of the late John Dalton and the head of one of Millville's largest families, passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 81. Mrs. Dalton was in remarkable health for her advanced age and had had very little illness throughout her life. She was born in Ireland, but came to America with her husband more than a half century ago. Upon their arrival in this locality, they settled a farm near Little Mill Stream, West Millville and resided there for two seasons, and then came to Millville, where they remained, he working for the Millville Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Dalton was a devout member & regular attendant at the St. Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the several ladies societies at the church. She is survived by three sons, William, Frank and Patrick Dalton of Holyoke, Mass. and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Diver of Philadelphia & Mrs. James Reardon of Millville. The funeral will be held from the residence of William A. Dalton, 9 E. McNeal on Tuesday morning at 8:30 with Solemn Requiem Mass at the St. Mary's Church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery.
