(Bridgeton, N.J.) 1851-1884: August 16, 1856 Died near Roadstown, on the morning of the 11th inst., Mrs. Phebe Mulford, in the 94th year of her age, widow of Isaac Mulford, dec’d. At an early period of her life, she became hopefully pious, and was baptized in connection with the Cohansey Baptist Church (now at Roadstown) May 19th, 1790. Thus during a period of some 66 years she walked with God in connection with the people. She was a remarkable woman, remarkable for her age, being, as is supposed, the oldest female in the County; remarkable for her intelligence in Divine things, and for her genuine piety. A large assembly of her numerous relations and friends followed her remains to their long resting place, in the Cemetery of the Roadstown Baptist Church, where the solemn occasion was improved by a sermon from the Pastor, from Job, 14-14: All the days of my appointed time will I wait until my change come.” J.
