West-Jersey pioneer. (Bridgeton, N.J.) 1851-1884: 27 October 1855
Died at his residence near Dividing Creek, on the 15th inst., John Robbins, in the
74th year of his age. The deceased was a consistent and faithful member of the
Dividing Creek Baptist Church for 25 years, during a part of which he was sexton of
the Church. While walking towards the woods with axe in hand and in his usual health
apparently, he was stricken down with paralysis, and after remaining insensible for
ten days, despite the efforts of physician and friends, death ensued…
