(Bridgeton, N.J.) 1851-1884: 24 March 1855 Died At his residence, near Cedarville, on the 9th inst., Mr. Nathan Sheppard, in the 57th year of his age. This afflicting Providence is severely felt by a large family and the community where he passed his life. He had a large acquaintance and was much respected by all who knew him. For sixteen years he had been a member of the Presbyterian Church in Cedarville. With his family his place was regularly filled in the sanctuary. But two weeks before his death he was one of a large congregation who had come to pay their last regards to a young man who had died in our midst. After a short illness he also was numbered with the dead. He leaves a now mourning and deeply afflicted widow, with whom he shared the joys and sorrows of thirty-seven years of wedded life; a family of children mourn the loss of a beloved father...
