Funeral of Mrs. Stokes

Occurred Yesterday from the Residence of Her Daughter

The funeral of Mrs. Lydia Stokes occurred yesterday morning from the residence 
of her daughter, Mrs. Headley, of Oak Street. The service was conducted by 
Rev. D. B. Harris, the Pastor of the deceased who was assisted by Rev. A. 
Lawrence, D. D. 

The hymn, 'Safe in the Arms of Jesus' was sung as one being especially 
appropriate as the release from suffering was a joy to the one who had gone to 
her rest.
