All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Martha Graham marthagra@gmail.com March 11, 2009, 5:12 pm Source: New Jersey Archives Written: January 4, 1773 The will of Samuel Harris of Hopewell Township, Cumberland Coumty, NJ "weaver", dated 04 january 1773 and proved 30 January 1773, devises to wife Rachel my mare and cattle; to son Samuel 10 shillings; to son Abraham the plantation where he lives in Alloways Creek Township, Salem County, which I bought fof John Chandler; to son Benjamin the plantation where he lives, which i bough of Seth Brooks; to sons Benjamin and Silas and my grandson Jacob Harris the son of Jacob Harris deceased half of the plantation where I live, andthe other half of the 10 acres marsh; to sons Danile and Silas my 2 looms; to daughter Hannah Tomson 5 shillings; to wife Rachel the rest of personal estate; and appoints Benjamin Harris and Danile Harris the executers. The Invenotry of the personal estate, taken and appraised by Nicholas Johnson and John Woodruff, was totalled at 196 pounds 10 shillings. [Abstract published in NJ Archives XXXIV, 231].
