Edwin H. Hughes, 72, husband of the late Mrs. Jennie Witmer Hughes of Lower
Mahanoy Township, died yesterday at his home in East Orange, N.J. He was an
uncle of K. L. Witmer, former resident and public school teacher here. 
Funeral services are to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Malta Lutheran and
Reformed Church. The Rev. John Bucher, pastor of the Uniontown Reformed charge,
will officiate and burial will be in Malta Cemetery. Friends may call at the
funeral home in Dalmatia Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or at the church Thursday
from 1 to 2 p.m.
