In the name of God, Amen.  I, Amos Reed of Elizabeth Town in the County of 
Essex and state of New Jersey, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do 
make & publish this my last will & testament, in manner following-
First, I give & bequeath to my wife Joanna all my real & personal estate 
whatsoever, for the purposes & uses herein after named:  and I appoint her 
executrix of this my last will. –
Second, I direct my said executrix to pay all my just debts & funeral expenses, 
out of my real & personal estate.----
Third.  The surplus which shall remain after the payments of such debts & 
funeral expenses, shall be applied to the maintenance of my said wife, & the 
bringing up of my children, until they respectively attain the age of twenty 
one years.----
Fourth. For the purpose of paying debts & providing for the maintenance of my 
wife & the bringing up of my children, I authorize my wife to sell all or any 
part of my real or personal estate, at public or private sale.----
Fifth.  If there be any residue either of real or personal estate, after paying 
debts & bringing up my children for the period aforesaid, the said residue 
shall remain to my said wife, her heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, 
absolutely.----

-------In witness where of I have hereunto let my hand and affixed my seal this 
Eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty six.
The word “real” in the eleventh line from the top of the former page was 
erased, before execution.-

Syned, sealed, published, & declared by the said Amos Reed as his last will and 
testament, in the presence of us who at his request & in his presence have 
subscribed our names---

Amos Reed's wife was Joanna Allen.  I am looking for the names of her parents.
