M. Collard, 28, of 814 Sixth street, Ocean City. The fatal accident occurred at 33rd street and West avenue. According to police who investigated, Carlton and his brother, Harold, 9, had been given money by their mother to buy ice cream. As the children started to cross the street Harold saw the car approaching and stepped back but Carlton became bewildered when he saw the machine and was struck by the right front fender. Dr. Collard was released under $5,000 bail. He is an osteopathic physician and practices at Ocean City.
