All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ********************************************************* April 10th 1806 In the name of God, amen I Jonathan Badcock of the Township of Great Egg harbor County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey on the Fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and six 1806 considering the uncertainty of this mortal life being of sound and perfect memory blessed be almighty God for the same do make & publish this my last will & testament in manner and form as follows, To w….. after my funeral expenses be paid and of m estate and just debts It is my will that my son John Badcock after my Decease be paid the sum of Ten shillings , Item I give and bequeath the one third part of my Personal estate to my wife Margeret and my two daughters Aleatha and Rachel to be divide equally between them and the remaining two thirds of my personal estate I give into my son David Badcock Item I give and bequeath to my son David Badcock the plantation wherein I now live (Oz) Beginning at a certain ditch between myself and Abel Scull & along said line to a ditch in the woods & along said ditch to a stone in the turn of s. ditch and across up to Matthis’s Branch to the head of my land thence across to Powel’s creek thence down Powel’s Creek the courses my deed specific to him and his heirs & assigns. Item I give and bequeath to my son Gideon twenty five acres of land on the west side of my plantation whereon he now lives to him and his heirs and assigns I tem I bequeath to my son David Badcock a piece of cedar swap lying on Gravely Run to him & his heirs & assigns forever. Item It is my order and request that my Black girl or slave named Charity Pines be discharged and set free at my Decease and herbed and bedding be delivered up to her at the same item for her own proper use and benefit. Lastly I do hereby appoint John Winner senior of the Township of Great Egg Harbor in the county of Gloucester and State after said my Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby Revoking all former wills by me made- In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord.
