I Henry Bronsteder being weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory for which I thank Almighty God Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, that is to say. First I give and Bequeath unto my beloved wife mary Bronsteder the sum of Ten pounds and one bed & Beding in lieu of her Dower or other Claim against my Estate. I do also give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Abigail the sum of fifty pounds to be paid to her when she shall arrive at the age age of twenty one years or at the time of he marriage if that shall first happen, their heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath to my two sons Henry and John, all the residue of my Estate both real and personal. And lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved friend and former master Samuel Cooper and my son Henry Executors of this my last Will and Testament. I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninty five 1795. his Henry Bronsteder X –seal- mark Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Henry Bronsteder to be his last Will and Testament in the presences of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of the Testator (NB the words “seven hundred” and the words “bed & beding” were underlined before the sealing and signing this will as likewise the words “heirs and assigns forever”) Joseph Cooper, Charles Hall, Joseph Jacobs, William R. Long. Joseph Cooper and Wm. R. Long two of the witnesses to this will being duly affirmed according to Law as of the People called Quakers say that they saw Henry Bronsteder (commonly Branson) sign and seal the same and hear him publish pronounce & declare the same to be his last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof the Sd. Testator was of sound disposing mind & memory as far as they know & as they verily believe beleives that Charles Halls and Joseph Jacobs the other subscribing Evidenees were present and signed their names as witnesses with these Affirmants. Affirm’d at Woodbury 10th Sept. 1795 before Fran. Davenport Junr. The foregoing will being proved probate was granted by his Excellency Rich’d Howells Esq. unto Henry Branson one of the Executors therein named his being first duly sworn well and truly to perform the same. Exhibit a true and perfect Inventory and render a just and true account when thereunto Lawfully required given under the Prerogative Seale the Day and year afs’d.
