From page 76: “….Two or three years ago the Board of Education purchased a 
site on Park Avenue between Eleventh and Twelfth street; plans for the building, 
drawn by the school architect, Mr. William Mayer Jr., were approved within the 
past year by the State Board of Educations; the work of excavation has already 
begun; and by the fall of 1927, if not before, West New York will have a well 
equipped building to house its rapidly growing high school population.  The 
building will be known as the West New York Memorial High School.
