Hoff John/Jonathan Hoff (Sr); Genealogical Data Entry: Born ~1720 in Maidenhead/Lawrence, Mercer Co., NJ, to father, Derrick (Dirrick) Pauluszen Hoff(Huff) (B: 1649 Jamaica, NY, D: 19 Nov 1722 Maidenhead now Lawrence, Mercer Co., NJ). His mother was Sarah Willemse Yeats, the second wife of his father. His spouse is unknown. He was one of 11 children: 1. William Huff (b: 20 Apr 1685) 2. Richard/Dirck Huff (b: 29 Aug 1686) 3. Thomas Huff (b: 6 Mar 1690) 4. Joseph/Jan Hoff 5. Benjamin Huff (b: 1702) 6. Sarah Huff (Anderson) (b: 27 Apr 1688) 7. Charles Huff, Sr. 8. Mary Hoff (b: 1794) 9. Jonathan/John Hoff (Abt. 1720) 10. Sarah Hoff 11 Powell Huff. JOHN/JONATHAN HOFF had one known son, Daniel Hoff (B: 1746 in Raritan, Somerset Co., NJ - 1802 Manassas, Pr. William Co., VA). He may have moved before 1770 from NJ to Pr. William Co., VA ~1773-4 JOHN/JONATHAN HOFF & other Hoff family members (see Daniel hoff), and died sometime after 1793. He may ave resided on a No. VA farm owned by a MOORE HOFF, who moved thee from NJ. JOHN HOFF may occupy one of the 15 unknown/unmarked graves located in 1997 in an archaelogical "dig" on the farm of a MOORE HOFF, located 2 mi SE of Manassas, Pr. William Co., VA. The relationship, if any between JONATHAN HOFF and MOORE HOFF is unknown, but the two names were found together on a marriage bond dated 1793.
