All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ************************************************ Hunterdon County Deeds Book 29 Page 460 - 461 Benjamin Pidcock & Wife to John Rose This Indenture made this tenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Benjamin Pidcock of the township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey and Ann his wife party of the first part and John Rose of the same place party of the second part --- that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three thousand dollars lawful money of the United States --- in hand well and truly paid by the party of the second part before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof they the said Benjamin Pidcock and Ann his wife do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold aliened enc--- released and confirmed unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the township os Amwell aforesaid and is butted and bounded as followeth Beginning at Samuel Brewer's corner in Hopewell thence along said Brewer's line and partly by Jacob Drakes north --- degrees west fifty six chains and forty four links to a --- in said Drakes line corner to Coryells land, Thence along --- line south sixty two degrees and a half west eighteen chains --- eight links to a white oak tree in said line corner to Charles Pidcocks land, near a large white oak tree in Hopewell --- --- thence along the same North eighty seven degrees east --- chains and sixty six links to the place of beginning and laying within the bounds aforesaid one hundred and twenty --- acres of land more or less. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements, ways, woods, ----, ---, rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining: and --- and reversions, remainder and remainders, --- --- thereof and of every part and parcel thereof. And also --- right title interest use possession property claim and --- whatsoever both in law and equity of them the said party of the first part of and in to the said premises with the appurtenances --- to hold the above described tract of land hereditaments and privileges hereby granted and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenanceaces --- party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Rose the party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Benjamin Pidcock aforesaid party of the first part, for himself, his heirs executors and administrators hereby covenant promise and grant to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns: That at the time --- and delivery hereof they the said party of the first part are seized in their own right of an absolute and indef-- of inheritance in fee simple of and in all and singular the premises granted with the appurtenances: and have good right full title and sufficient authority in the law to grant bargain sell and --- the same unto the said party of the second party his heirs and assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning of these presents all that it shall may be lawful for the said party of the second part his hers and assigns at all times forever hereafter peaceably and quietly --- hold use occupy possess and enjoy the said premises with the appurtenances without interruption or disturbance of the said party of the first part their heirs assigns or any other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming --- to the same: and that the said premises are free and clear and judgments executions and of and from all other incumbrances - --- and singular the said --- hereditaments and premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs assigns, against them the said party of the first part and their --- and against all and every other person or person whomsoever, law --- claiming or to claim the same, shall and will warrant and for--. Hunterdon County ss: Be it known that on this twenty fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen before me Elnathan Stevenson on of the Judges of the Court of common pleas in and for said County personally appeared Benjamin Pidcock and Ann is wife the grantors in the foregoing deed of conveyance and did Acknowledge the same to be their voluntary act --- by them signed sealed and delivered for the uses and purposes above mentioned. And the said Ann being of full age and by me privately examined apart from her husband did acknowledge that she is acquainted with the time and effect of the said instrument and that she executed the same as her voluntary act and did freely and without any fear threat or compulsion from her said husband Acknowledged the day and year above said before me Elnan Stevenson Recorded April 5th 1819
