Lott Phillips Sworn 4th of June AD 1819 Jos. Bowman Surg In the name of God amen I John Phillips Senior of the Township of Hopewell in the County of Hunterdon and Sate of New Jersey being week of body but of sound mind memory and understanding (for which blessing I most Devoutly thank my God) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following That is to say: First it is my will and I do order that all my just Debts and funeral expenses be duly satisfied and as soon a conveniently can be after my decease Item: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Abigail all my real and personal estate whatsoever during her life or in case she should marry then during her widowhood and after marriage or Decease, I do order that the same be disposed of as follows, Item: I will and devise unto my son Lott Phillips and to his heirs and assigns forever, except the west front room in my Dwelling house the use of which I do give to my Daughter Rhoda solely so long as she shall remain unmarried. And I do will that my son lott do Enable my Executors herein named to pay the following legacies, that is to say, to my son John one hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents to be paid him at the Expiration of the second year after my decease. And to my son Andrew the sum of ten dollars to be paid him at the Expiration of the third year after my decease. And I do give unto my two daughters Hannah and Esther ten Dollars Each to be paid at the Expiration of the fourth year after my Decease, and I do also give unto my daughter Rhoda Two hundred dollars and also one Cow of her choice out of my stock, one feather bed and bedding, Dining table, bereau, looking glass and Candelstand (after my wife's marriage or decease afrsd.). And the better to Enable my Son Lott to Discharge or to pay the money to my Executors for them to discharge all my just Debts as afrsd. and all the aforsd. Legacies, I do further will him all the remainder of my personal Estate whatsoever. And lastly I hereby appoint my son Andrew Phillips and my son John Phillips Executors of this my last Will and testament. As witness my hand and seal this Seventh Day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Twelve.
