Hunt John Milhelm Know all Men by these Presents, That We John Godown, Jacob Godown and Andrew Larason all of the township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon, in the State of New Jersey are held and firmly bound unto William Livingston Esquire Governor of the said State in the sum of Two hundred Pounds lawful money of said State, to be paid to the said William Livingston Esquire, his Successors or Assigns: To which payment shall be well and truly made, We bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents. Sealed with our seals and dated the twenty fourth day of Paril Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety. THE Condition of the above Obligation is such, That if the above bounded John Godown and Jacob Godown Administrators of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Evans Godown Late of Amwell aforesaid Deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular, the Goods, Chattels and Credits, of the said Deceased, which have or shall come into the Hands, Possession or Knowledge of the said John Godown & Jacob Godown or into the Hands of any other person or persons for their use, and the same so made, exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Prerogative Court, in the Secretary’s Office of New Jersey, on or before the twenty fourth Day of October next ensuing, and the same Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased, at the Time of his Death, or which at any time after, shall come to the Hands or Possession of any other Person or Persons, for their use, do well and truly administer according to Law; and further do make, or cause to be made a just and true Account of their Administration within twelve Months from the Date hereof; and all the Rest and Residue of the said Goods, Chattels and Credits, which shall be found remaining upon the Account of the said Administration shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively, as by Law are or shall be entitle to receive the same. And it shall hereafter appear, that any Last Will and Testatment was made by the said Deceased, and the Executor or Executors therein named, do exhibit the same into the said Prerogative Court, making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly: If said John Godown & Jacob Godown being thereunto required, do render and deliver up the said Letters of Administration, Approbation of such Testament being first had and made in the said Court; then the above Obligation to be void or else it shal stand in full Force and Virtue John Godown Jacob Godown Andrew Larason Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of John Godown and Jacob Godown the Administrators within named being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God, did severally depose and say that Evans Godown within named, died without a Will as far as they or either of them know, and as they and each of them verily believe, and that they will well and truly Administer all and singular the Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits of the said Deceased, which have or shall come to their Hands or Possession or to the Hands or Possession of any other person or persons for their use; and that they will make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of --- Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits, and exhibit the same into the prerogative office and render a Just and True Account of their Administration. John Godown Jacob Godown Sworn at Trenton the 24th Day of April 1790 Before me R. Throckmorton, Surrogate Andrew Larrason, one of the Appraisers of the within Inventory, being duly sworn according to Law, did declare, that the Goods & Chattels in the said Inventory set down and specified above were by him appraised according to their just and true respective Rates and values, after the best of his Judgement and understanding and that John Lkae, the other Appraiser whose name is thereto subscribed was present at the same time and consented in all things to the doing thereof and that they appraised all things that came to their view for appraisement. Andrew Larason John Godown and Jacob Godown, Administrators of Evans Godown within named Deceased being duly sworn According to Law did severally depose and say that the within writing contains a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods and Chattels of the said Deceased, as far as have come to their knowledge or possession, or the possession of any other person or persons for their use.
