All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ************************************************ Will of Hannah Hart In the name of God Amen the twenty seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy four I Hannah Hart of Hopewell in the County of Hunterdon Province of New Jersey widow of John Hart Lately Deceased Being sick and weak in body but of Perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God for the same and Calling to mind the Mortality of the body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to died do make and ordain this my last will & Testament that is to say Principly & first of all I give and Recommend my soul into the hands of God that give it and for the body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and Decent manner at the discression of my Executors Nothing Doubting but at the General Resurection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God and as touching such worldly Estate whereas it hath Pleased God to bless me with in this life I give Devise and Dispose of the same in the manner and form following that is to say In the fist Place I give and bequeath to my Eldest daughter Fransinah my Chist of Drawers Also I give unto m y well beloved Daughter Abbygail the ---- table and Looking Glass Item I give to my youngest Daughter Rebeckah my bed & Furniture, the Part of the household Goods to be Divided between my two Eldest daughters Item My wench Dine and Mare, two cows and half Dozen sheep to be sold and my sons Philips & Abner to have twelve Pound a Piece and the Rest of the Money to be divided among my three daughters Item my bills and bond to the amount of one hundred & ten pounds I give to my Eldest brother Job five Pounds and ten shillings Per year for ten years to the use of the Old Meeting house or support of the Gospel ministers Called Methodist as --- may require at the discretion of my Executors The Remainder to be Divided between my three Daughters Equally Except as much Money as will Purchase my sister Abbygail a gown Theophilus wife Item I give to my sister Rebeckah my black gown and pair of silk gloves Item I give to Elijah Hart my husbands Eldest son & Heir the sum of seven shillings & six Pence cash & Fanny Hunt a pair of silver Buckles Lastly I do hereby Constitute make and ordain my well beloved brother Job Phillips & Timothy Hunt my only sole Executors of this my last will and testament and I do Hereby utterly Disallow Revoke and disannul all and every other Testaments wills and Legacies requests and Executors by me in any wife before this time named willed and bequeathed In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Hannah Hart Signed sealed Published Pronounced and Declared by the said John Fidler Cornelius Vannoy & Benjamin Mershon as her last Will and Testament in the Presence of us the subscribers that is to say John fidler Cornelius Vannoy Benjamin Mershon
