All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nj/njfiles.htm ************************************************ Hunterdon County Wills 582J William Waters In the Name of God Amen I William Waters of Hopewell in the County of Hunterdon Province of New Jersey, being weak in Body but of Sound mind & memory thanks be given to God therefore, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men one day to die, do make and Ordain this my last Will & Testament, that is to Say primiss and first of all, I Give and recommend my Soul unto the hands of God that gave it & my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Christianly and decent manner at the discretion of my Exectrs An for such Worldly Estate --- it hath Pleased God to bless me in this life, I Give, Devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form Iprimisis tis my Will and I hereby Order that all my Just debts and funeral charges be paid by my Exectrs as soon as Conveniently may be after my Decease that my Exctrs take Care the my Aged & honored Father have a Sufficient and Comfortable maintenance out of my Estate during his natural Live Item Tis my Will and I hereby Order that my Whole Estate both real & Personal shall be sold at Such time as my Exrts shall think as -- - fit and Convenient Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughters Sarah Wilson & Deborah Woolsey and my Grandaughter Letitia Burrows to Each of them five Pounds Item I given and bequeath unto my Daughters Kesia and Elizabeth to Each of them thirty Pounds, all the residue and remainder of my Estate I hereby order to be divided between my two Sons William & Jonathan Allowing William twenty five pounds more than Jonathan And if my son Jonathan shall Die before he comes of age that then his Part or Portion between his Brother and Sisters or the --- of them & that my Son William shall have a Share of sd Jonathans Part Double to either of his Sisters, And also that my wearing Apparell be Equally divided between my two Sons above named, furthermore tis my Will that the Above named Legacies be paid by my Extrs at the Expiration of one year after my Estate is Sold, Except that to Letitia Burrows which is to be Paid when she arrives at the age of eighteen years. Lastly, I do hereby Ordain My Son William and my Brother in law Andrew Muirhead Exectrs. Know and they virually believe and that The other subscribing Witness was present at the same time and signed his name as witness to the said in the presence of the said Testator in the presence of Each other David Adair Sworn the 21st day of June 1762 Theos.
