Death of Rev. Dr. Alexander. The Rev. Dr. Joseph Alexander, Professor in 
the Theological Seminary at Princeton, N.J. died at that place on Saturday 
last. He was the son of Dr. Archibald Alexander and grandson of Rev. James 
Waddell of Virginia, known as the blind preacher.  Rev. Dr. J.W. Alexander 
died in Virginia last summer.  The late deceased spoke almost all the 
modern languages of Europe and as a scholar in oriental literature had no 
superior in this country.
