In the Name of God Amen. I Joseph Rommell being of sound and disposing mind and memory and in view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do hereby make and declare this to be my last will and testament 1st After all my just debts and funeral expenses are paid: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth: all my estate both real and personal during her natural life or while she remains my widow 2nd I hereby appoint as executor of this my last will and testament David Warman M.D. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty five Dated Trenton May 18/85 Joseph Rommel (his mark) Witness Present: John F. Pownall Frederick Weissert State of New Jersey Mercer County ss: John F. Pownall and Frederick Weissert the witnesses to the annexed writing, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Joseph Rommell deceased, the Testator therein named, being duly sworn doth depose and say, that they saw the said Testator sign and seal the same, and heard him publish and declare it to be his last Will and Testament; that at the time of the doing thereof, the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, as far as these deponents know, and as they verily believe, and that they were present at the same time and together subscribed their names thereto as witnesses, in the presence of the Testator, and of each other. John F. Pownall Frederick Weissert Sworn and subscribed this 30th day of June 1885 before me. JW Cornell Surrogate State of New Jersey Mercer County ss. David Warman the Executor in the annexed writing named, being duly sworn do depose and say, that the annexed writing contains the true last Will and Testament of Joseph Rommell deceased, the Testator therein named, as far as he knows, and as he verily believes; that he will as the Executor thereof, well and truly perform the same, by paying first the debts of the said deceased, and then the legacies therein specified, as far as the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased can thereunto extend; that he will make and exhibit into the Surrogate's Office of the County of Mercer, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased that have or shall come to his possession or knowledge, or the possession of any other person or persons for his use; and that he will well and truly account when thereunto lawfully required; and that said Testator died more than ten days ago.
