This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Donna Evans Dbepre@aol.com ==================================================================== William Pidcock's Will 921K Proved Augt. 4th 1855 and recorded in Book B of Wills of Mercer Co. folio 581 Rogers Know all men by these presents that I William Pidcock of the County of Mercer and State of New Jersey being of sound mind and disposing Memory and knowing the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of life do make and constitute this my last Will and Testament in the form and manner following Viz To my dear and loving wife Ellen Pidcock I give and bequeath the farm on which I now live and all my real Estate with the appurtanences to her sole and only use during her natural life or so long as she remains a widow togethre with all my stock and personal property of every description subject to the following reservtations An at her decease I give and bequeath to my two sons Benjamin and Edward W. Pidcock or to the survivor of them or their legal representatives their heirs and Assigns all my real Estate share and share alike together with a horse for each of them to be taken from the stock on hand at my decease Benjamin to have the first choice They yeilding and paying the Legacies herein after devised to their Sisters at and after their Mothers decease And I hereby give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary the Interest of three hundred Dollars yearly and every year from and after the death of her Mother so long as she may live and at her cecase the principal to be paid to her Daughter Sarah Ann Girton To my Daughter Deborah I give and bequeath the Interset of three hundred Dollars yearly to commence at her Mothers decease and continue during her life and at her decaease the principal to be paid to her Daughter Sarah Ellen Phillips To my Daughter Sara I give a bequeath a living in the house with her Mother so long as she may live and if she should marry or at her Mother decease the sum of five hundred dollars And my will and desire is that all my children should ontinue to live with their Mother in peace and harmony after my decease as they now do so long as she may live And I hereby nominate and appoint my friend Pattison Vanhorn of Bucks County Pennsylvania my sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament requesting him to discharge settle and pay all my just debts and funeral expences as soon after my decease as convenient and authorising him to sell so much of my personal property as necessary to sattisfy the same In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five William Pidcock Signed and Sealed in presence of Absalom Moore Archibald Green Alfred Smith An Inventory and Appraisement of all and singular the Goods and Chattels rights and credits which were of William Pidcock of the Township of Ewing County of Mercer and State of New Jersey at and before the time of his Decease Viz His Purse 433.50 Joel Wolverton's Bond 400.00 Archibald Green's Note 113.10 Elias & S.R.Gilkyson's do 75.00 Absalom Moore's do 100.00 Benjamin Vanarlen's do 5.83 Andrew Green's do 35.00 Samuel Prior's do 29.00 Croasdale Warner's do 60.00 1 Doz.
