Added information from ChrisTina and Thomas jersey@jerseyside.com 02/02/2001 "The Drummond Cemetery" Buried in this graveyard are the descendants of Gavin Drummond who settled this area in 1687. Burials date from 1794 through 1894" The cemetery is on Wickapecko Drive in Ocean Township. At this time [year 2001] the graveyard shows 5 standing headstones, with 5 matching footstones, one brass marker (flat against the ground) and one large spire. Much of the information from Monmouth Book of the Dead is correct, but it seems they made some changes and chose to edit the information, as well. The stone for CATY HUNT actually reads "consort of George Hunt" It does not refer to her as his wife. The new marker on the ground reads: Braeutigam 1898 Henry Drummond 1990 1903 wife Mary 1997 I don't know if Mary and Henry are actually buried there, or if they just wanted to be included in the family grounds. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
