Know thee that I, Thomas White, of the town of Shrewsbury and County of Monmouth in the province of New Jersey, yeoman, for and in consideration of twenty five pounds current silver money of the Eastern Division of the said province by me received of Robert Drummond of the same town and county aforesaid, husbandman, have bargained, sold, released, confirmed, and quit claimed by these presents, do for me and my heirs fully, clearly, and absolutely bargain, sell remit, release, confirm, and forever quit claim unto him the said Robert Drummond in his full and peaceable possession and seizing and to his heirs and assigns forever all such right, estate, title, interest, and demand whatsoever, both in law and equity and either of them as the said Thomas White had or ought to have, of in or to, all that tract of land and meadow situated, lying, and being in the said Shrewsbury beginning at the ______ or Southeasterly side of the mouth of the second gully above Crofoot Creek on the North side of the North branch of White’s Great Pond, often called Loch Arbor, from thence running North to a maple tree marked on four sides, standing about a rod from the South side of Poplar Swamp Brook, about two chains from the upland, being nine chains sixty _____ _____ or to the Eastward of the mouth of the said brook on the upland and is about eleven chains to it side along the said upland, thence running from said maple tree along the said Poplar Swamp Brook as the said brook runs to the East line of that tract of land called Poplar Swamp Pottened to Thomas Potter, from thence __ the said East___ line runs South and by East to a black oak tree standing by Hogg Swamp Brook, and from thence to where it began. Bounded West by Thomas Potter and Gavin Drummond and North by said Poplar Swamp Brook, East by Thomas White and South by Hog Swamp Brook, with all the royalties, privileges, profits, and appurtenances thereto belonging by any ways or manner whatsoever. To have and to hold all the said tract of land and premises with the appurtenances and every part thereof unto him the said Robert Drummond his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of him the said Robert Drummond his heirs and assigns forever so that neither he the said Thomas White nor his heirs nor any other person or persons for him or them or in his or their names or in _____ name , right or ______ of any of us shall or will by any way or ______ hereafter have claimed_______ or demand any _______ _______ or interest of in or to the premises or any part or parcel thereof he and every of them shall ______ ______ and ______ by these presents. And also the said Thomas White and his heirs, the said tract of land and premises with the appurtenances to the said Robert Drummond his heirs and assigns to his and their proper use and uses in manner and form above specified against me my heirs and assigns and every of them shall warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof he the said Thomas White hath hereunto set his hand and seal this twentieth day of December in the six year of her Majesty’s Reign. Annoq. Drummond Memorandum that on the eight day of September Anno Domini 1710, Thomas White above mentioned came before me Thomas Gordon, Esq., one of her Majesty’s council for the Province of New Jersey, and did acknowledge the above written instrument to be his free and voluntary act and deed to the use within mentioned. Thomas Gordon
