  Ruth WOOLLEY to Gilbert LANE

  This Indenture made this twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord
  Eighteen Hundred and Thirteen between Ruth WOOLLEY of the Township of
  Shrewsbury in the County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey of the first part
  and Gilbert LAIN of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said
  Ruth WOOLLEY for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to her,
  in hand paid unto the said Ruth WOOLLEY by Gilbert LAIN, the receipt whereof
  the said Ruth WOOLLEY doth hereby acknowledge and herself therewith to be fully
  satisfied, contented, and paid, have given, granted, bargained, and sold and by
  these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm to him, the
  said Gilbert LANE and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or lot
  of land and premises herein after particularly described. Situated lying and
  being in the town, county, and state aforesaid, butted and bounded as follows.

  Beginning at a stone planted in the northwest corner of the lot which is said
  to be James GARDNER'S lot, that the lot of the said Gilbert LANE thence, (I)
  north forty degrees east along James Garner's line, fourteen chains and seventy
  two links to the corner of Richard TABER'S lot, and the corner of James
  GARDNER'S lot. thence (2) north forty one degrees and fifteen minutes west,
  five chains and twenty six links _one planted in Athaliah COOK'S southernmost
  line, thence (3) along said Athaliah COOK'S line south "fifty three degrees and
  fifteen minutes west fifteen chains and sixty links to the said Gilbert LANE'S
  northwest corner, thence (4) along said Gilbert LANE'S line south forty eight
  degrees east eighty chains and sixty five links to the beginning containing ten
  acres and fifty four hundredths of an acre be it more or less. Bounded southerly
  by James GARDNER, easterly by the said Ruth WOOLLEY, northerly by Athaliah COOK
  or James COOK and Westerly by Gilbert LANE, together with all and singular the
  property profits, privileges and advantages with the appurtenances to the same
  belonging or in any way appertaining. Also all the Estate rights _Interests and
  demand whatsoever of the said Gilbert LANE of in and to the same and to every
  part thereof: to have and to hold all and singular the above described lot of
  land and premises with the appurtenances unto the same aforesaid Gilbert LAIN
  his heirs and executors and administrators or assigns forever. And the said
  Ruth WOOLLEY doth for herself: her heirs, executors and administrators,
  covenants and grants to and with the said Gilbert LANE, his heirs and assigns,
  that she the said Ruth WOOLLEY is the true lawful and right owner of all and
  singular the above described Lot of land and premises and every part and parcel
  thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and that the said land and
  premises or an part thereof at the time of sealing and delivery of these
  presents are not encumber by any mortgages, judgments, or limitations or by any
  incumberance whatsoever by which the ___ of the said Gilbert LANE hereby made or
  intended to be made for the above described land and premises can or may be
  changed altered or defected in any way whatsoever and also that the said Ruth
  WOOLLEY now has good right, full and lawful authority to grant, bargain, and
  sell to and convey the said land and premises in the manner aforesaid. She will
  warrant, secure and forever defied the land and premises to said Gilbert LANE,
  his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all
  under every person and persons freely and clearly freed and discharged ___ from
  all manner of number acres whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Ruth WOOLLEY

  One thousand eight hundred and twenty five between Ruth LAIN of the Township of
  Shrewsbury County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey of the one part and Enos
  EASTWOOD of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Ruth
  LAIN for and in consideration of the sum of twelve dollars to her in hand paid,
  the receipt whereof the said Ruth LAIN doth hereby acknowledge and convey and
  from every part and parcel thereof: doth release, acquit, and discharge - the
  said Enos EASTWOOD, his heirs, executors and administrators and every of them
  by virtue of these presents and hereof to be therewith fully satisfied
  contented and paid hath granted, bargained, and sold, and by there presents
  doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto him, the said Enos EASTWOOD,
  his heirs and assigns forever, all that lot of woodland situated in the Township
  of Shrewsbury beginning at a stone planted at the southwest comer of woodland
  late Samuel COOK'S thence (1) running north twenty-three degrees and fifty
  minutes west, three chains and ninety links to a stake or stone, thence (2)
  south eighty-six degrees, east six chains and sixty seven links to John WHITE'S
  line thence (3) south three degrees - three chains and seventeen links along
  said White's line to Joseph WEST'S line, thence (4) south eighty-eight degrees
  and twenty six minutes west five chains and eight links to the beginning
  containing two acres bounded westly by John LIPPINCOTT, northerly by John
  EMMONS, easterly by John WHITE, south by Joseph WEST, Together with the et
  cetera et cetera et cetera.

  This indenture made this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one
  thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between John EMMONS and Deborah his
  wife, Guisbert LAIN and Elisabeth his wife, all of the township of Shrewsbury,
  county of Monmouth, and state of New Jersey, parties of the first part, and
  John FLINN of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that: Whereas Ruth
  LAIN died seised of a certain House and Lot of land situate in the said township
  of Shrewsbury of which a more particular description herein after will be given,
  and whereas the said Deborah wife of said John EMMONS, and the aforesaid Gilbert
  LAIN, are the only heirs at Law of the said Ruth LAIN dec'd. who died Intestate,
  there claim title to and make sale of the same as follows to the aforesaid John
  FLINN the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
  three hundred dollars to them in had well and surely paid by the said John
  FLINN at and before the ensealing, and delivery of these presents, the receipt
  whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained sold claimed ______
  released and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell ____ ____
  release convey and confirm unto the said John FLINN and to his heirs and
  assigns forever, all that House and Lot of land, situate in the township of
  Shrewsbury aforesaid on Long Branch and lying on the south side of the Highway
  leading from the Liberty Pole to Renshaw's Boarding house. Beginning at the
  ___ Highway thence (1) southerly along the said John FLINN'S line to Jesse
  TABOR'S line, thence (2) easterly along said Jesse TABOR'S line and the line of
  ____ belonging to the estate of Richard TABOR dec'd to the Brook. Thence down
  the Brook. Thence down the Brook to the aforesaid Highway thence (4) easterly
  along the said highway to the place of Beginning. Containing three acres more
  or lessÑTogether with all things thereunto appertaining or in anywise belonging
  with all the estate, right, title, interest, property claim and demands
  whatsoever, both in law and equity of them the said parties of the first part
  of in and to the said premises and to every part thereof. To Have and to Hold
  the said lot of land with the herein above described hereditaments and premises
  hereby granted or mentioned and intended to be, with appurtenances unto the said
  party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever and the said John EMMONS
  and Gilbert LAIN do for themselves, their heirs, Executors and administrators
  covenant with the said John FLINN his heirs and assigns that they are the
  lawful and rightful owners in fee simple of the premises here granted and said
  there of the ensealing and delivery of these presents of an indefensable estate
  of inheritance in fee simple without any manner of condition limitation or other
  matter to alter or determine the same and that the said John FLINN his heirs and
  assigns shall hold and enjoy, the said premises without the lawful let or
  eviction of either of them. The said Deborah wife of the said John EMMONS & of
  the said Gilbert LAIN or of either of the said parties of the first part their
  heirs and assigns or any person or persons lawfully claiming by from or under
  them or any of them or of the lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever
  and freed and indemnified against all for ____ or other charges and
  encumberances whatsoever, made and committed to be made and committed done or
  suffered by either of the said parties of the first part or of their heirs or
  of any person or persons having or lawfully claiming or to claiming by ___ or
  under him them or any of them.

  eight hundred and Thirty Seven 1837. Between John FLINN of the Township of
  Shrewsbury in the County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey and Jane his wife
  party of the first part and William E. FLINN of the place aforesaid party of
  the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for __
  consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United
  States __ the said John FLINN and wife in hand well and truly paid by the said
  party of the second part before the sealing and witness of these presents, the
  receipt whereof they the said party of the first part both thereby acknowledge
  have given, granted, bargained, sold. .. that certain lot of land, situated
  lying and being in the township of Shrewsbury aforesaid on Long Branch.
  Beginning at the southeast comer of a lot of the aforesaid John FLINN - of John
  W. COOK in the middle of the road from the Liberty Pole to the Bath House, it
  being also the southeast comer of the - by the conveyed house, north seventeen
  degrees and forty minutes east seven chains, then (2) North seventy-two degrees
  & fifteen minutes, west three chains, thence (3) south twenty--one degrees &
  fifteen minutes, west five chains and ninety links to the middle of the
  aforesaid road, thence south fifty two degrees and forty-five minutes, east

  This Indenture, made the first day of October in the year of our Lord, one
  thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine. Between William R. MAPS, Executor of
  John FLINN, late of the township of Ocean, in the County of Monmouth, and State
  of New Jersey, deceased party of the first part, and William E. FLINN of the
  township of Ocean, in the County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey, party of
  the second part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, by virtue
  of the power and authority so given in and by said last Will and Testament and
  for and in consideration of the sum of Four Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty
  one dollars, lawful money of the United State States of America, to be hand
  paid (by the said party of the second part) at or before the ensealing and
  delivery of the presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has

  aforesaid Sea Road, and a street leading from the said road to Asher

  south fifty one degrees east, one hundred and fifty feet, thence south thirty
  nine degrees west fifty feet thence north fifty one degrees west two hundred
  feet to the aforesaid street, thence north thirty nine degrees east along the
  east side of said street, two hundred and twenty five feet to the beginning,
  being lots No 24 & 29. Also lot No 36, beginning on the west side of said
  Street on the north east corner of Lot no 37, thence north fifty one degrees
  west one hundred & eighty three feet to Gabriel GAULTRA'S?? line, thence north
  forty two degrees and thirty minutes east fifty feet, thence south fifty one
  degrees east one hundred and eighty feet to the aforesaid street, thence along
  the west side of said street, south thirty nine degrees west fifty feet to the
  beginning. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaries and
  appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the
  reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits
  thereof. And also, all the estate, rights, title, interest, property,
  possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as with in law as in equity, of the
  said party of the first part, and of the said Testator, of in and to the above
  described premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with the
  appurtenances. To have and to Hold, all and singular the above mentioned and
  described premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the

  The Inhabitants of the Township of Ocean

  I Wm. R. JOLINE, collector of Taxes in the Township of Ocean, in the County of
  Monmouth and State of New Jersey, do hereby certify that at a public sale of
  lands, tenents, hereditaments, and real estate made at the Town Hall in said
  township on the 31st day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred and
  ninety three to the purpose of making certain taxes on account of which said
  lands, tenements, herditaments and real estate were assessed in said township,
  in the year 1891 by virtue of a certain warrant issued y the Township Committee
  of said Township, bearing date the fourteenth day of July A.D. 1893. All that
  certain house and lot on the south side of Bath Avenue Long Branch, NJ. 
  Bounded on the south by land of One HENDRICKS, on the west by Pearl Street, on
  the south by land of Mrs. M. J. CORLIES, on the north by the aforesaid Bath
  Avenue, assessed for taxes as the property of W. E. FLYNN'S estate, was struck
  off and sold to The Inhabitants of the Township of Ocean for the term of thirty
  years from the date of said sale, the said The Inhabitants of the Township of
  Ocean having bid and agreed to take the said lands and premises for the
  shortest term for which any person would take the same and pay the amount of
  tax, with the interest thereon, and all the costs, fees, charges, and expenses
  connected therewith. And I do further certify That the said The Inhabitants of
  the Township of Ocean has paid therefor the sum of Twenty five dollars and
  thirty cents which amount is made up of the tax on the said lands and premises,
  being the sum of seventeen dollars and fifty six cents, and of costs, fees,
  charges and expenses, as follows; to wit. Warrant to collect, 1891, Justice 2¢;
  officer, 34¢; issuing warrant Township Committee, 5¢; return to County Clerk,
  2¢; Clerk, 5¢; Township Clerk, 10¢; Collector executing warrant, 25¢; Collector
  selling, 25¢; Collector for certificate, 50¢; acknowledgment for certificate,
  50¢; advertising sale, $1.80; postage, 4¢;

  And I do further certify, That the right of the owner or owners, mortgagee,
  occupant, or any other person or persons having either a legal or equitable
  interest in the said lands and premises, to redeem the same will expire on the
  first day of September A.D. eighteen hundred and ninety five.

  In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of
  September in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety three.

  The Inhabitants of the Township of Ocean to

  This Indenture made the seventh day of June in the year of Our Lord One
  thousand eight hundred and ninety five Between The Inhabitants of the Township
  of Ocean in the County of Monmouth (body corporate) located in the said county
  of Monmouth and state of New Jersey, party of the first part and James B.
  FLINN, of the township of Ocean in the county of Monmouth and state of New
  Jersey party of the second part; Witness, That the said party of the first part
  for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Two dollars and Sixty-Six Cents,
  lawful money of the United States of America to it in hand paid by the said
  party of the second part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these
  presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; hath revised, released,
  and forever quit claimed and by these presents do revise, release, and forever
  quit claim unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assign
  forever, all that certain tract of land and premises hereinafter particularly
  described situate lying and being in the township of Ocean in the county of
  Monmouth and state of New Jersey, at Long Branch City. Bounded on the south by
  land of one HENDRICKS; and the west by Pearl Street; on the east by lands of Mrs
  Mary J. CORLIES, and on the north by Bath Avenue, and being the property
  assessed for taxes in the 1891, as a part of the estate of W. E. FLINN. This
  Deed of Release being given to cancel, and annul the certificate of Sale for
  taxes, made by Wm R. JOLINE, Collector, to the party of the first part, dated
  Sept 1st, 1893 and recorded in the Monmouth County Clerks Office in Book 522 of
  Deeds, page 300.

  Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances
  thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and
  reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof, and
  also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, possession, claim and
  demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity of the said party of the first
  part of and to the above described premises, and every part and parcel thereof,
  with the appurtenances, to have and to hold, all and singular, the above
  mentioned premises together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the
  second part, his heirs and assign, to his own proper use, benefit and behoof
  forever.

  In Witness Whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto affixed its
  official seal, and caused these presents to be executed by its chairman and
  attested by the township clerk the day and year first above written

  township; that the seal affixed to the foregoing deed is such seal; that the
  cause was so affixed thereto and the said deed signed and delivered by Henry B.
  SHERMAN who was at the date and execution thereof Chairman of the Township
  Committee of said Township, by order of said Committee, and in the presence of
  deponent as the voluntary act and deed of said township; and that deponent did
  thereupon sign the cause as subscribing witness thereto.

  This Indenture made this Twentieth day of September, Eighteen Hundred and
  Ninety-eight Between James B. FLINN and Sarah L. FLINN, his wife of Long
  Branch City of the county of Monmouth and State of New Jersey, party of the
  First Part, and Josie W. VOORHEES of Red Bank in the County of Monmouth and
  State of New Jersey, party of the Second Part.
  
  Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of Twelve
  Hundred and Fifty Dollars is them paid, do hereby grant, bargain, sell and
  convey to the party of the second part and her heirs:
  
  All that lot of land situated in the township of Ocean in the County of
  Monmouth and State of New Jersey at Long Branch city. Being on the south side
  of Bath Avenue and is bounded and described as follows: on the North by Bath
  Avenue, on the East by lands of Mary J. CORLIES, on the south by lands of John
  HENDRICKS and on the West by Pearl Street. Said tract of land being about
  Seventy-five feet wide and Two hundred and Eighty feet deep.
  
  With the appurtenances To have and To hold the same to the party of the second
  part, her heirs and assigns, to her and their use forever, and the said James
  B. Flinn, part of the first part for his heirs, executors, and administrators
  doth Covenant and grant the said party of the second part, her heirs and
  assigns that the lands hereby conveyed are free from encumbrance and that the
  party of the first part has goods rights to convey the land and that he the
  said James B. FLINN has an indefeasible estate in fee. . . . . . . . . . . that
  the party of the second part shall quietly enjoy and possess the same and that
  the said James B. FLINN party of the first part will and shall warrant the said
  lands to the party of the second part, her heirs and assign against all lawful
  claims whatsoever. Except Mortgage of One Thousand Dollars held by James B.
  HATHAWAY hereby assumed, as part consideration.
