From: County of Monmouth Archives and Records Center 125 Symmes Drive Manalapan, NJ 07726 Deed Book E, page 188 Gabriel Stelle to Theophilus Longstreet, 25 June 1714 This indenture made the twenty fifth day of June in the 13th year of Anne, by the grace of God, of Great Brittain, France, & Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, Anno Domini 1714, between Gabriel Stelle of Shrewsbury in the county of Monmouth & Province of New Jersey of the one part and Theophilus Longstreet of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Gabriel Stelle for and in consideration of a competent sum of money by him received of the said Theophilus Longstreet, wherewith he is well satisfied and contented, hath aliened, granted, bargained & sold, by these presents doth alien, grant, bargain & sell unto him the said Theophilus Longstreet, his heirs & assigns, all that ninety eight acres of land on the North side of Manasquan River, bounded Southerly by David Allen’s land, and Northerly by John Gifford’s land, Westerly by said river, running Easterly forty two chains & Northwesterly fifty eight chains on said Gifford’s lines in length , carrying ten chains wide between said Allen & Gifford’s and twelve chains in breadth after it passes said Allen’s land, with all the royalties, profits, and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and all the estate, title, right, interest, reversion, remainder,claim, & demand whatsoever of him the said Gabriel Stelle, of, in, to or out of the same or any way part of it, as amply and fully to all intents & purposes as the same was conveyed to him by the deed of James Hubbard, bearing date the 12th day of this instant June & surveyed, laid out and returned by the Surveyor General, and as the same may or can be further assured by release of the proprietors of the Eastern Division of said province, formerly called East New Jersey, or otherwise howsoever. To have and to hold the said ninety eight acres of land and premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Theophilus Longstreet, his heirs & assigns, to the only use and behoof of him the said Theophilus Longstreet, his heirs & assigns forever. In witness whereof the said Gabriel Stelle to this part of these presents hath put his hand & seal the day & year first above written.
