Cottrell W.S.Chambers Frank Horner Margaret Applegate Thomas Clink Two notes of interest--There was an envelope postmarked 8-24-1894 from Washington D.C., addressed to George W. McMillan, Richmond College, Richmond (rest is ripped off). There is a short note to Holmes Pullen from a Frank Huntsinger, dated 10-7-1907. "The date of the fire when Imlay Station Depot was burnt was 11-21-1903. William F. Gravatt came and got one side of beef and told me about the fire. I sent his team and got the other side after a few days" (have no idea what one thing had to do with the other). In case anyone is interested, in 1897, beef was 10 cents a pound, veal 14 cents/lb., pork was 8 cents/lb., liver, 8 cents/lb., sausage 10 cents/lb. Quite a few people purchased "hogs head". He also sold fruits and vegetables in season, and wood. Most were paid in cash or check, some paid with services,e.g. carpentry, shoe repair, etc. There is also a check or "promisory note" for $25.00 written by Florence Parker to Daniel Parker and then signed over to Holmes Pullen--the date March 7, 1901 from the First National Bank of Hightstown.
