New Jersey Monmouth Personally appeared before Kenneth ANDERSON Junr Clerk of Monmouth Ebenezar KER and being on Oath with Declare that on the twenty first day December last that thes Deponent in company with William JOHNSON, George TINNEY and Peter SMITH and William HALL in going across the farm of Coll David FORMAN in the County of Monmouth were taken prisoners by John THOCKMORTON, Edmund HARRIS, Daniel VANMATRE, Hendrick VANMATRE, Jacob WEST, Israel BRITTON, William LAWRENCE Junr and other in arms and this Deponent further saith that after he was with the others abovesd. George TINNEY, William JOHNSON, Peter SMITH, and William HALL taken prisoners there were carried -- said Coll FORMANS house where this Deponent saw Edmund HARRIS and John THROCKMORTON taking Inventory of som Coll FORMANS effects and likewise saw said HARRIS and THROCKMORTON mark with a piece of lime or chalk each of them a Different Door with the Letter G.R. and this Deponent saith the above named person by whom he this Deponent and others were made prisoners did more than once Huzza for King George and further this Deponent saith not.
