Inprimis I command my soul to Almighty God that first gave it me and to his Son Jesus Christ in whom I believe and hope to be saved and my body to the Earth to Buried in a Christian Like manner. As my Executor Shall think most commendable & fitting for me. First after my Financial Charges be fully paid by my Executor I give and and bequeath that is to say my Lands to be Equally Divided between six of my sons Namely - Jonathan & Samuel & Joseph & John and William & James it is my Desire that the Cedar Swamp laying to the Northward of the Road should go north and Remain for the use of the old place. Item, I give and bequeath to my son Joel all my blacksmiths tools which are Now Remaining. Whereas I thank beneficiary to that I have given Joel his full proportion in land already. I do not name him in the division here after. Item I give to my six Daughters namely Naomi Winner, Sarah Johnson, Hannah Ashton, Lucretia Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Lydia Shumard to be Equally Divided Amongst the six all my Movable property & personal Estate whatsoever except one bed & bedding which I do give to Eliza Phillips and Likewise I do appoint Jonathan Johnsoon, John Johnston and Garret Irons to be my executors to this my Last Will and Testament in Witness Whereof I have herewith set my name and Sent this thirtieth day of December one-thousand eight hundred and eleven 1811.
