At a Court last mentioned [ At a Court of General Quarter Sessions held at Morris town on & for the County of Morris on the third Tuesday of December A. D. 1782. Present Benjamin Halsey John Stiles John Brookfield Benj. Lindsly Will Woodhull Stephen Day Ab Kitchel.]* Application was made to the Court in favour of Hiram Howard a wounded Soldier of Capt Halls Comy of Coll. Spencers Regt. & a certicate was presented in the words & figures following Viz. I do hereby certify that Hiram Howard Served as a Soldier in my Company in Coll Spencers Regt. in the three months Service, and received a wound in his ankle at ash swamp which has rendered him unable to Support his family. Witness my hand this fourth day of November 1782. (Signd) Joseph Hall Capt Also another Certificate in the words & figures following Viz. These may Certify that Hiram Howard Served as a Soldier in Coll. Spencers Regiment of three months men in the Beginning of 1777 & in the 23 day of the month of Feby. in said Year the said Howard received a wound in his Ankle which has rendered him unable for Service and no doubt entitled him to Such relief as is made & provided in Such cases. Morris County December 5th. 1782. (Signd) Eleazr Lindsly Lt. Coll.
