Marquette, who keeps a boarding house in Madison. Froney was a domestic in her employ, and after being committed to jail charged that James Burnet, a young fellow of Madison, had induced her to steal it and that she had afterwards giving him ten dollars of the stolen funds. James was arrested at his home on Sunday morning, denied the charge point-blank and gave bail for his appearance at the next term of court. The amount of bail was fixed at $250, and his father went his security. Froney's parents live in Passaie township and knew nothing of the trouble in which she has placed herself.
