Will of Barney Sanders, dec'd Recorded in Liber F, Fol. 183, 184, & 185 (3159N) In the name of God, Amen.- I, Barney Sanders of the Township of Pequanac, County of Morris & State of New Jersey Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this my last will and Testament in manner and form follow- ing - First, I resign my soul into the hand of Almighty God who gave it, and my body I commit to the earth, to be buried by my family and friends, and my worldly estate I give and devise as follows_ viz - I give and bequeath to my fie Mary Sanders during her natural life, the use of one half of my dwelling house, all my household furniture, and the two cows I now own, and she to be supported and decently provided for __ (herself and cows) from the proceeds of my farm from year to year during her life by my son Daniel Sanders ___ in lieu of her dower rights - Second, I give and bequeath to my son Jacob Sanders & to his heirs and assigns forever, the lot of land on which he has built and now lives, commonly called the ridge lot, containing about twelve acres, Third - I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Sanders and to his heirs and assigns forever all the remainder of my real estate now belonging to me wheresoever it may ly - Also all of my personal property, together with my clock now standing in my room (except such as heretofore bequeathed to my wife Mary Sanders) Also all the Hay, Grain of All kinds, Potatoes, Cabbage, Turnips & on o about my premises at my decease, for his use and the use of my wife Mary Sanders. And it is my will and I do hereby order and direct that my son Daniel Sanders shall provide my wife, and his mother, Mary Sanders with a comfortable and decent support or living during her life, or cause it to be done, her fire wood to be cut for her, so small that she can make use of it in her fireplace and brought to door for her, and he the said Daniel Sanders to find pasture in summer and hay in winter for her cows and fodder them for her and take care of them as he doth of his own. ~ Fourth, I give & bequeath to my daughters Phebe, Elizabeth - Mary and Margaret after the death of my wife Mary Sanders the household furniture I gave her (except the Clock and the two cows of they are in being at the time of her death, or so much of it as May be left not worn out share and share alike - Fifth - I will order and direct that my son Daniel Sanders pay all of my Just debts, funeral expenses & c and I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Daniel Sanders sole Executor of my last will and testament.
