It was brought by the finders to the kissing bridge, and there it awaited for an hour the arrival of the coroner from Toms River, who allowed the body to be removed to an undertaking parlor, where it was prepared for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Bloodgood were at the time of the discovery of the body out in an automobile scouring the country around the village for news of the daughter. The finding of the body in Lake Carasaljo indicates that the girl escaped from the home on Wednesday morning in the manner stated by the nurses at the beginning of the search. She evidently darted down Seventh street, then through the private way, over by Georgian Court, the residence of George J. Gould, and at that point, in all probability, took her leap into the waters of the lake. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ocean Emblem Toms River Wednesday 8 Jul 1857 BIRDSALL, William Mr. William BIRDSALL, of Waretown, departed this life on Sunday morning last. Mr. BIRDSALL was one of our purest and best citizens. A man of good business qualifications and strictly upright in all of his dealings with his fellow man. Integrity characterized all of his actions. The community has lost a much respected and valued citizen. His loss to his family, as father and husband is irreparable. It was the intention of Mr. Birdsall to have removed to Virginia, with his family, this coming fall, and for this purpose he had advertised his property at Waretown, for sale, which was to have come off on the 1st inst., but death marked him for another sphere, and has introduced him to a purer land - a land enlightened by the Glory of God, and whose inhabitants are gladened by Jehova's Smiles. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Trenton Times 13 April 1906 COMP, Adam Adam Comp Dies; Pneumonia Cause Adam Comp, one of the best known and oldest residents of Hamilton township, died yesterday at his home.
