Mrs. Singleton, who has for an extended period been almost helpless owing to bodily infirmity was most pleasantly surprised, when about 2 p.m. there arrived wagons containing those who were bent upon making the occasion one that would leave pleasant memories, having brought with them a generous quantity of ice cream, cakes, etc. The pleasantries of the day will be long remembered by those who composed the gathering, which included Mr. and Mrs. William Huggins and their daughters Reba and Jennie, Mr. and Mrs. William Horner, Mrs. Search, son Oscar and daughter May, Mrs. Harris and daughter Mary, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Shinn and their sons Willie and Alfred, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hankins, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Horner and son Stanley, Charles and Caleb Horner. Each one spent a most enjoyable afternoon, particular attention being bestowed upon Mrs. Singleton, who managed to be at the table by the assistance rendered to her, along with the others, to enjoy the plenteous supply of good things, as she has had continued to her faculties that enable her to enjoy a passing pleasure. On returning to their respective homes the company each bade aged Mrs. Singleton a hearty adieu. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/njfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
