In the company commanded by Captain Samuel Robinson in the 4th PENNSYLVANIA Comapany commanded by the late General Wayne. He was discharged from services at Chester County, Pennsylvania on March 1777, by Col Francis Johnston and he was in the Battle of Three Rivers in Canada (2 Tekendarsque.) He received a Survivors Pension in 1819 (File M804 Roll 2104, Pages 33) from Pennsylvania ($40.) For his servies he was given a Bounty Land Warrant (Warrant #7679) issued 20 Oct 1790 to William Russell, Private in the NEW YORK line. His pension file is S40373 from New Jersey. Additional Comments: His family consists of: William Russell born 1748 Mary (his wife) born abt 1755 or earlier Children: Henry born 1866-1784 m. abt 1796 to Mary Wilkenson died 5 Jan 1826.
