I Phillip Atathem of Cohansey in ye County of Salem being in perfect mind & memory but weak of body & knowing it is appoine for all men to die & not knowing of certainty of my days I doe this Twenty First Day of November in ye year of our Lord 1716 make this my last Will and Testament. First and principally I recommend my spirit unto God that gave me and my body to be buryed in a decent manner --------------------- I give and bequieue all my land & marsh to my two sons, Phillip Stathem & Hugh Stathem, to them their heirs & assigns forever to possess ________ _______ when they come to ye age of twenty and one years & if either of my sons should die before age or marriage then ye deceased brothers land shall fall to ye living brother & if please God that Phillip ever come again to his perfect strength & agility of body then the said land shall from end to end, quantity & quality Phillip having all ye clear land & housing, my Son Phillip shall have all ye lower part of the land; it shall be parted clear across by Thomas Cravens old fitch (ditch?) & my son Hugh Stathem his heirs & assigns forever shall injoy ye upper part of my land & my son Phillip Stathem his heris & assigns shall forever injoy all ye lower part of my land & housing ------------------------------ I give & bequeth to my daughters, Ruth, Jeane, Mary & Margret each of them ten Pounds in movables at ye age of eighteen & if any of my daughters should dye their part shall fall to ye surviving sisters. ------------------------------------------- I give and bequieth to my well beloved wife all ye remain part of my estate with the use of all my estate & land till ye children comes of age & house room ______ orchard during her ___________. I also constitute & appoint my well beloved wife & son, Mary and Phillip Stathem to be executers of this my last Will and Testament in witness hereof I have here unto set my hand & seal the day and year above written.
