Baser The following records were copied by Mr. Raser late in 1952 from an ancient Bible owned by Miss Helen Osborn, 308 East Main Street, Manasquan, N. J. The Bible formerly belonged to her sister, M. Iris Osborn (Mrs. Harold P. Collins), who had made a number of entries in it. The Bible appears to have been printed in several distinct sections. It is now broken in two. If there was once a title-page to the Old Testament, it now is missing. At the end of the Apocrypha is printed: "Glaskow: Printed by David Niven; for J. Duncan and J. & M. Robertson, Booksellers, MDCCLXXXIV." The New Testament bears the imprint: "Edinburgh: Printed by the assigns of Alexander Kincaid, His Majesty's Printer, MDCCLXXXV." Inside the front cover is the inscription: "Miss Elizabeth Brown, Squan Viallage, Given to Iris Collins April 20th 1927 by her Mother Anna L. Osborn ... " On the back cover is written: "The property of Asher and Mary Pearce." The modern entries made by Mrs. Collins are so marked in the following copy.
