Enlisted May 23, 1778. Born March 1758. Served as a private in Capt. Longstreet's Co., under Colonel Dayton's New Jersey Regiment. He was discharged Feb. 23, 1779. Engagements he was in: Staten Island, NY., Paoli, PA., Monmouth, NJ., Stoney Point, NY., Hackensack and Mount Pleasant, NY. He died June 22, 1831 at Woodcock Twp., Crawford Co., PA. He was married to Hopeful Bucklew. She was allowed a pension on Nov. 12, 1845. Thomas was given his pension June 10, 1818.
