The inventory of his personal estate is not recorded, but is filed in the box or boxes containing Salem Wills and other papers pertaining to the administration of estates for that county. Besides the regular series of West Jersey Wills, there are three of Salem Wills, and many are to be found in the Burlington Records. Real --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Melyn, b. about 1640, at Antwerp, Holland, and who came to America while a child, and was one of the first settlers of Elizabethtown, in 1665, removing to New York in 1696, studied for the ministry, and was installed pastor of the church at Elizabethtown, May 20, 1704, apparently as colleagure of the Rev. John Harriman, whom he succeeded. He continued in the pastorate until 1706 or 1708, when he re- tired, under a cloud. He died in Elizabeth between May 10, 1711, the date of his will, and July 31, 1711, the date of its probate.
